The Playground is a fully set Jira Data Center instance that includes Scrum, Kanban, and business projects populated with issues, sprints, assignees, epics, initiatives, linked issues, and releases. This instance provides valuable insights into how the application can be utilized with various data sets, demonstrating its capabilities across different project types.

How to access

There are several ways to get on the Playground:

  1. If you do not have installed app yet:

  • By this direct link

    • auto-login is working there;

      • in case if auto-login did not work, please use these credentials:
        Login: demo
        Password: demo

  1. If you have installed the application already:

  • Open the “Help” menu and select the “Playground” option:

Navigation

Use the predicated links to get fast access to the application at the top of the page:

  • Explore “Reports” of any chart type with preconfigured settings:

  • Explore gadgets on the dashboards divided by features with the different data sources (Scrum, Kanban, Initiative, etc.):

You can open settings to see how the gadgets and reports are configured, but you don’t have access to update settings because we want to present them to all users similarly.

Create new gadgets and reports

On the Playground, you can create new dashboards, add and configure gadgets (having the needed test data), and craft custom reports.

To create a new dashboard:

  • go to the “Manage dashboards”,

  • click on the “Create new dashboard” button,

  • name it, and click on the “Add” button.

Test migration process

Test the gadgets' cloning (a helpful tool during the migration process) using the Import/Export feature to get the hang of it before processing the same on the production:
