Calculation > Work schedule
The Work schedule defines which hours, days, and holidays are considered working time. It is used across the application to calculate metrics that depend on working hours.
You can configure the work schedule from:
The Calculation settings of any Cycle time chart.
The work schedule is global. Any change made in one chart will automatically apply to all charts in the app.
What the work schedule affects
The configured work schedule is applied when:
Calculating Cycle time and Lead time in the Cycle Time Histogram and Cycle Time Trend charts, if the Duration method is selected.
Calculating Time in status in the Time in Status chart.
Configurable options
You can customize:
Time zone
Work days - for example, from Monday to Friday
Work hours - for example, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Breaks – add one or multiple breaks (lunch or maintenance breaks).
Holidays – exclude specific days from calculations. You can also make them repeat annually.
24 hours per day – enable this option if your team works around the clock (disables specific work hours and breaks).
Example
If your work schedule defines Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM with a 1-hour break, then:
An issue that started Monday at 9:00 AM and was completed Tuesday at 9:00 AM will count as 8 hours or 1 day.
An issue that started Friday, 4:00 PM, and was completed Monday, 10:00 AM, will count as 3 hours (2 on Friday, 1 on Monday).
Holidays and weekends will be skipped in all calculations.
