From the app Home

This article applies to Agile Cycle Time Charts as a standalone app. For using it as part of the Agile Reports and Gadgets bundle, please see the Agile Reports and Gadgets documentation.

There are three ways to create a chart in Agile Cycle Time Charts:

  1. From the app Home page

  2. From a Jira project

  3. By adding a gadget to a dashboard

Create a chart from the app Home page

Access the app

Jira Cloud

  1. Once the app is installed, click Apps in the left panel.

  2. Select Agile Cycle Time Charts from the list.

Jira Server & Data Center

  1. Once the app is installed, Agile Cycle Time Charts will appear in the top menu. You may need to click More to find it.

  2. Click Getting Started.

Use a template

  1. On the Getting Started page, you can create a chart by selecting one of the predefined templates. Browse the list or filter templates by chart type or framework.

  1. Depending on the selected template, choose the data source. The chart will be built with predefined settings, which you can adjust as needed.

Create a chart from scratch

If you’re not sure which template to use, you can always create a chart from scratch.

  1. Click Create chart.

  1. Choose a data source (Scrum or Kanban board, project, release, epic, initiative, or custom JQL).

Save the chart as a dashboard gadget

After adjusting the settings, you can save the chart as a gadget on a Jira dashboard:

  1. Click Save as gadget.

  2. Choose an existing dashboard, or enter a new name to create a dashboard directly from the chart.
