Use the Calculation method setting (available in the Calculation section) to define how time is measured for Cycle time and Lead time calculations:

You can choose between two options:

  • Calendar – counts all elapsed time continuously, including weekends and non-working hours.

Use this method if you need to align with SLA or want to measure end-to-end delivery time, where total elapsed time matters most.

  • Duration – counts only working hours according to your work schedule configuration.

Use this method if you want to analyze the actual working time spent by the team to evaluate efficiency or optimize internal workflows.

When Duration is selected, the chart uses your defined work schedule - for example, 8 working hours per day and 5 workdays per week. In this case:

  • 16 hours = 2 days

  • 10 days = 2 weeks

Example

If an issue was started on Monday and completed the following Monday):

  • Calendar method: the total will be 7 days, since weekends are included.

  • Duration method: the total will be 5 days, as only the 5 working days (Monday–Friday) are counted.
