The Cycle time metric measures how long it takes for work to move from start to completion. You can select it as the metric in the Calculation section of the chart settings. The configured metric is displayed on the chart and also appears in the Breakdown and Issue list sections.
Select Cycle time to focus on active work duration only.
How the Cycle time is calculated
The chart calculates how much time passed from the moment an issue moved to a status in the In Progress category until it reached a Done category status.

What if an issue hasn’t transitioned to Done
If an issue hasn’t transitioned from an In Progress status to a Done status at least once during the configured interval, it will still appear in the Issue list, but its Cycle time value won’t be calculated. This behavior ensures consistent issue scope between the Cycle time histogram/trend charts and the Time in status chart.
