The Issue List acts as the proof behind the numbers on your chart. It lets you see precisely which issues contribute to each value, giving you the transparency needed to understand your data thoroughly. By drilling down into the Issue List, you can see the specifics — like which issue has the longest cycle time or which tasks are stuck in a particular status — providing clarity and context to the summarized data on your chart.

How to manage the Issue list

  • Add/remove columns: the "Columns" button allows you to easily add or remove columns to tailor the Issue List to your needs. You can add any field from the issue screen as a column, providing even greater flexibility in viewing and analyzing your data.

  • Reset columns: to revert to the default suggested view, simply reset the columns. This option restores the system's original configuration.

  • Swap columns: drag and drop columns into your preferred order to rearrange them and prioritize the information that matters most.

  • Sort by column: you can sort the Issue List by any column in ascending or descending order.

  • Issue count display: in the Issue List section chevron, you can see the total issue count for the selected part of the chart, providing a quick overview of the data scope.

  • Path to the displayed issue list: the chevron displays the path of the selected breakdown segments, so you are always aware of the filters applied to the data scope.

  • Manage issue from the chart: click on the issue to open the Jira issue view.

Unchangeable columns

These columns are fixed and cannot be removed or reordered in any of the charts:

  • Key: issue key.

  • Summary: issue summary.

  • Metric (Cycle Time/Lead Time): representing the selected metric in the chart configuration.

Exception: Metric column is unavailable for the Time in Status as there is no “Metric” setting in the chart configurations.

Predefined but customizable columns

  • Cycle Time and Trend Charts:

    • Estimation field: displays estimation data according to the board configuration (e.g., Story Points, Original Time Estimate).

    • Assignee: shows who is responsible for the issue.

    • Status: reflects the current status of the issue.

  • Time in Status Chart:

    • Assignee: displays the individual assigned to each issue.

    • Status: indicates the current status of the issue.

    • Columns for each status: each column represents a different status within the "In Progress" category, showing the time spent in each.
