Smooth migration

We did a lot of technical work to avoid breaking changes with the transition to one gadget instead of 14 gadgets. Regrettably, it wasn't feasible to execute this transition without any user action. Nonetheless, we've done our best to simplify the process as much as possible.

Let’s describe cases and actions one by one:

Reports in Jira

No actions are required. All reports created in previous versions have been updated.

Gadgets on the Jira Dashboard

All gadgets created in previous versions continue to work seamlessly.
We recommend copying them to the new gadget to access enhanced functionality and utilize new features. You can easily copy each gadget with just one click:

Note: The old gadget won’t be deleted automatically, so you can check whether the new one works as expected.

Gadgets in Confluence

All gadgets created in previous versions continue to work seamlessly.
We recommend copying them to the new gadget to access enhanced functionality and utilize new features. You can easily copy each gadget by exporting and importing settings:

Report UI

Clear layout, consistency with gadgets, new features: duplicate, chat with support.

What’s new

Getting started page

As a user, you can find a getting start page:

Cloud:

Server/DC:

The main purpose of this page is to navigate between charts and available communication channels:

  • Intercom - chat with the support team.

  • Report a problem - Support Portal form.

  • Book a call - opens Calendly.

  • Release notes - directory in documentation.

  • Roadmap - live product roadmap.

  • Suggest a feature - a request form.

We added Intercom messenger to the Reports and Gadgets areas (both Settings and Chart views), so now you can ask us instantly whenever you have a question.

My Reports button

Now, you can open your reports without switching straightforward from the Board view to keep context:

Chart Catalog

Now, you can easily find charts for your purposes using categories, filters, search, and visual coding:

Create gadget

Creating a Jira Dashboard gadget is a multi-click process, so we've designed a quicker solution. You can now create gadgets, whether on your existing Jira Dashboard or a new one, with just 2 clicks from the chart catalog:

Tutorials

You can educate yourself or share tutorials with your colleagues to spread the data-informed culture among your delivery management. We would like to read your feedback about the topics you desire to be explained in video tutorials - please write us.

What’s next

  • Dark theme support.
We know you are waiting for this.

  • Add report as a gadget to Jira Dashboard.
Ability to play with the report and add the created chart to the Jira Dashboard with any manual work.

  • Custom Assignee field.
If you use a custom Assignee field (e.g., Developer), you can track the progress properly according to your processes.

  • Compare teams on one chart.
New capability to see many teams separately on one chart instead of creating a report or gadget for each team.

  • Support entities above Epic level (e.g., Initiatives).
The new chart will allow selecting a Portfolio Initiative (Feature, Solution, etc.) as a data source instead of selecting boards.
