Where to find Team Velocity Report on the Project page

Accessing our charts is now quicker and easier than ever! Simply navigate to the Project sidebar to get an instant view of team velocity and other key insights without any extra steps.

The Team Velocity report has predefined chart settings with limited customization options to give you a quick view of the team’s progress. To have a fully customizable chart, save the report as a gadget on the Jira Dashboard.

Team Velocity for Scrum Boards as a Report

Default settings:

  • Seven sprints are displayed on the chart (including active if it is);

  • Average line for Initial, Final commitment, and Completed work are enabled;

  • The average is calculated based on two sprints;

  • Estimation field according to the default estimation from the board configurations;

  • The current board is selected.

Available options:

  • Select another board of the same project;

  • Save the report as a gadget to the dashboard;

  • Export the chart in CSV, PNG, PDF, Chart settings in JSON format;

  • Customize the chart and breakdown using User Preferences (saved for the next time entering the report).

Team Velocity for Kanban Boards as a Report

Default settings:

  • Reporting period - past 30 days;

  • Grouping interval - Weekly;

  • Estimation field - Issue count.

Available options:

  • Select another board of the same project;

  • Select another estimation field of the chart displaying;

  • Save the report as a gadget to the dashboard;

  • Export the chart in CSV, PNG, PDF, Chart settings in JSON format;

  • Customize the chart and breakdown using User Preferences (saved for the next time entering the report).
