Versions hierarchy organizer

Using Versions hierarchy for Jira you can:

  • convert project versions into a hierarchy

  • select versions from the hierarchy in issues including Service Desk Customer Portal

  • search issues and create reports based on versions hierarchy with custom JQL function

 

App global settings

Versions hierarchy can be enabled for all Jira projects or for selected projects only. In global app settings Jira administrator can:

  • enable/disable Versions hierarchy feature for all or selected projects

  • show/hide Versions hierarchy link in project navigation and project settings sections

Custom project permissions

Project administrator can grant permission to manage project versions hierarchy to non-project admin users.

REST API

Versions hierarchy has a complete REST API documented with built-in Swagger UI available in Versions hierarchy project tab → Help → Rest API section.

How to install

  1. Log into your Jira instance as an admin.

  2. Click the admin dropdown and choose Atlassian Marketplace.

    The Manage apps screen loads.

  3. Click Find new apps from the left-hand side of the page.

  4. Locate Versions Hierarchy for Jira via search.

    The appropriate app version appears in the search results.

  5. Click Free Trial to begin a new trial or Buy now to purchase a license for Versions Hierarchy for Jira.

    You're prompted to log into MyAtlassian. Versions Hierarchy app begins to download.

  6. Enter your information and click Generate license when redirected to MyAtlassian.

  7. Click Apply license.

  8. If you're using an older version of UPM, you can copy and paste the license into your Jira instance.
